The Opening Ceremony of the XIX World Senior Karate Championships is going to take place in a few minutes in the city of Tokyo, Japan.

Between other important guests we have the honour to share this important moment with Mr. Okano, IOC Member and Mr Jean-Laurent Bourquin, from the IOC Administration who are kindly attending the XIX World Senior Championships, as Karate is one of the candidate sports to be included in the Olympic Programme in 2016.
