EKF Executive Committee meeting

The Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation met in Hotel Park in Novi Sad on February 12th during the European Junior & Cadet Championships.
Among the topics discussed were required changes in long term program official events. Since Denmark had withdrawn from holding the 2012 Regional Championships the Russian Federation has graciously stepped up to the plate and accepted to take on this event instead of the 2016 event as scheduled, and the event will therefore be moved from Copenhagen to Moscow. After evaluating other possible locations for the 2012 the Senior Championships the EC decided to support Tenerife as the proposed location. Despite some limitations in the spectator capacity, the venue is every other aspect deemed to be the best solution.

By suggestion of the EKF President, Mr. Antonio Espinos, the EC gave their unanimous support of Mr. Mike Billman as new Chairman of he EKF Technical Committee with immediate effect. We send our congratulations to Mr. Billman who have served on the committee for several year as TC Member, and we have every confidence that he will make a great contribution n his new role.
