OPENING CEREMONY
The Championships started on Thursday 13th with the participation of 81 countries and 1214 competitors. The Opening Ceremony started with the presence of The RT. Honourable Datuk Seri Utama Mod Najib Bin Tun HJ. Abdul Razak , Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Honourable Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Melaka and President of the Malaysia Karate Federation, both authorities together with the WKF President, Mr. Antonio Espinós, made a speech to open the Ceremony which was very well organized and beautifully performed.
