The entire WKF has been waiting for a long time, with great expectation and excitement, the arrival of big days for karate in Belgrade. These wishes are also and without any doubt shared not only by the Serbian Karate Federation but also by all those that in one way or another take part in the organisation of these twentieth World Karate Championships, exactly forty years after the foundation of the World Karate Federation in 1970.
In the coordination visit that the WKF made to Belgrade one year before the event, we have seen the strong institutional support that the Serbian Federation has been able to agglutinate, as well as the superb facilities that will be offered to the many delegations of the 5 continents. Between them, we were pleasantly surprised by the Belgrade Arena, a splendid stadium that will make possible the celebration of a high standard Championships, and also by the outstanding conditions of the selected hotels.
Finally, I want to thank the President of the Serbian Karate Federation and the whole organizing team for their leadership, their hard work and their commitment to overcome all difficulties and be in condition to make this huge contribution to the World of Sport, and I also want to congratulate them for their success in having chosen a working team fully capable to face the successful organisation of this great world event.
