16th Asian Games

The 16th Asian Games were successfully conluded in Guangzhou, China on November 27th. The karate competition took place from November 24th to 26th and they were held with total success. On November 26th the Olympic Council of Asia President, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, visited the karate venue and he was very warmly welcomed by the people of karate. During his visit Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah had a conversation with the WKF General Secretary, Mr. Yerolimpos, on several issues and reconfirmed the perfect collaboration of both sides.

The WKF General Secretary after that meeting stated:"the WKF is in complete collaboration with OCA and its President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah not only on the Asian Games level but also on the development of our sport in the Asian Continent. WKF supports all the activities of OCA and its President on all levels. Sheikh's support of our sport is a great honor for karate".
